What’s your taste in Music?I asked myself how music would impact us if experienced through an additional sense: taste. Music is made up of different layers that come together to create a complete piece. Pralines serve as the perfect analogy—multi-layered, with complex textures and subtle nuances. Together with the indie band Bube, I developed a box of pralines that interprets their music through flavor. The taste and shape of each song-inspired praline are crafted to reflect the sound, emotion, intention, and lyrics of the individual song. This creates a unique music taste that makes the connection between hearing and tasting tangible. To experience music anew is to understand the difference between hearing and truly listening—much like the difference between mindless consumption and mindful enjoyment of food. Traditional merchandise often goes unused and harms the environment, whereas edible merch offers a sensory and sustainable way to celebrate the moment.
