Design is not just part of my life — it’s the way I live, perceive, and connect with the world. Every challenge becomes inspiration through listening, empathizing, and communicating with people, stories, and surroundings.

Boghcheh
A Gathering Platform for Connection through Food, Dialogue, and Diversity
I was inspired to develop this project through my experiences as an international student from Iran, struggling to integrate and connect with new people and cultures. I celebrated every gathering with new friends through community cooking, eating, and storytelling. Building on these experiences, I aimed to design for social integration and community engagement through food as a way to connect cultures. »Boghcheh« was born out of managing and designing an intercultural dumpling event, a community kitchen gathering held in cooperation with the Food Lab at FH Münster. The project explores the cultural and symbolic act of wrapping, both in food and in material culture, as a powerful metaphor for connection, sustainability, and shared humanity. Inspired by the Iranian »Boghcheh« a cloth-wrapped bundle, and global traditions of filled or wrapped foods (such as dumplings, ravioli, samosas, and empanadas), it shows how diverse people connect through food as a non-verbal means of communication.
