For me, design is everywhere and aims to make the world a better place. Being a designer means exploring new things, staying curious, focusing on details and, not being afraid to get your hands dirty, as it's part of the creative process.

Eggcellent
Biomaterial aus Eierschalen
Eggs are one of the most commonly consumed foods worldwide. I myself eat an egg for breakfast every day. This got me thinking about how to dispose of eggshells and how they could be reused, which led to my project. Eggcellent is a new material made from eggshells with a natural and organic binding agent that is durable, compostable, and biodegradable, demonstrating that eggshells can be a ‘circular material’. To demonstrate its potential, Eggcellent offers variations of its material that fulfill different functions. EggPlant: replaces plastic pots with pots that dissolve in the soil and also serve as fertiliser for plants. EggFood: biodegradable tableware. EggHome: furniture and decoration that is durable and biodegradable and does not harm the environment when disposed of. Eggcellent comes in different colours and textures to stand out, catch the eye and visually show that it is made from eggshells.
