How to T1D
With my project, I would like to offer a starter kit for newly diagnosed type 1 diabetics - as an orientation aid in a phase of life that is characterised by excessive demands and uncertainty. My project aims to start exactly where medical facts meet uncertainty and fear. A small booklet is intended to filter, relieve and encourage — with comprehensible knowledge, tools suitable for everyday use and emotional support in a handy, compact format. At the same time, type 1 diabetes is a disease that is highly stigmatised and those affected are often confronted with misconceptions. This is why the starter kit is not only aimed at those affected, but also at those around them. It's a small format that can save lives in an emergency, and I hope that my project will provide clarity and encouragement!
