Mrs. Bonga and the Magic Drawer
A Children’s book
In my bachelor’s project, I wrote and illustrated a children’s book that deals with the topics of self-worth, empathy and children’s imagination in an imaginative way, focusing on the pharmacist Mrs. Bonga, who makes special sweets with magical powers. Each chapter tells the story of a child who learns something about themselve through their magical experience. The stories are accompanied by the Murphys – little chaotic pharmacy beetles who create magical moments and chaos with wit and heart.The book combines loving illustrations with important messages for children – about courage, friendship, being different and the power that lies within everyone.
