Unsichtbar, Sichtbar
Das Leben mit Endometriose und Adenomyose
2024, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with adenomyosis and a suspected diagnosis of endometriosis. Since that day, I’ve experienced countless mind-blowing moments and an amount of ignorance. But the project »Unsichtbar, Sichtbar« isn’t about telling just my story, it’s about telling ours. The anger over the lack of awareness in society and among many doctors, combined with my own helplessness and confusion about what was happening in my body, became the impulse for my bachelor’s thesis. I want to encourage women to speak about their pain and share their stories — so they can be seen, heard, and finally taken seriously. My book is meant to feel like a warm embrace for those affected and their loved ones — a safe space that says: You are not alone. At its heart are portraits of people living with these conditions, accompanied by personal reflections from their journeys with endometriosis und adenomyosis. Alongside that, it offers knowledge to foster better understanding and a greater connection to the own body.
