Whether I'm designing posters or making stop-motion films — illustration runs through my entire academic career. But children's and young adult books are still my favorite projects.

KOPFÜBER
A book about female puberty
Everyone experiences it at some point — puberty. And sooner or later, everyone asks themselves the question: Is it normal what's happening to me? Can I talk to someone about it, or am I weird? Boobs, pimples, body odor, menstruation, and all other physical changes are simply not talked about enough. Instead, these topics, as well as questions and insecurities, are silenced or even dismissed as embarrassing or unpleasant. In “KOPFÜBER – A book about female puberty”, I deal with precisely these important questions and topics, both narratively and illustratively. I combine factual information with a portion of openness and humor and go through all the upcoming physical changes of puberty. Too little is said about it, and after you have read the book carefully, you will hopefully realize for yourself: Your body is pretty impressive.
