Behind the Scene
We are the Parcours Team, students at MSD!
In the summer semester of 2025, we were responsible for organising the Parcours event under the direction of Alexander Sander.
Our Point of view
A reflection Parcours 25 was a new task for all of us in many respects. With Alex, our new professor for the Parcours seminar, we organised the course like an agency - a completely new way of working for most of us. Everyone was able to participate in different groups and so we were all part of the project at all times. However, before we went into these working groups, we took a lot of time to develop the concept. Week after week and workshop after workshop, we honed our ideas further and further until finally the concept »A Point of View - A Parcours« emerged from all our deliberations.
With this idea, the »real« work began in the various working groups, from finances to catalogue and exhibition organisation, and our concept took on more and more shape in its various forms. We knew that we had a lot of work ahead of us, but it was only at this point that we realised how extensive and complex such a large project is. Although there were many tasks to complete and groups to co-ordinate, there was always a very good exchange between the groups, including between people. With Alex, we saw the opportunity to approach some things in a new and different way than in previous years. We all had the feeling that we were starting the project freely and with an open mind. It was buzzing all the time and there was constant movement. Little by little, various milestones were reached and became visible to others: the first drafts of the website, the Instagram account that went online and the posters that finally went up. Over the course of the semester, we were constantly faced with new challenges and not only got to know our working methods better, but also grew together as a team.
We got to know ourselves better and sometimes jumped over our shadows — alone and together. We have learnt a lot and gained experience for life. We would especially like to thank you, Alex, for getting involved with us and being such great company. A big thank you also goes to you Amelie: thanks to your experience, we didn't stumble through the process quite so blindly and were able to overcome some hurdles more quickly. We had a great time and wish the next Parcours team lots of fun, creativity and courage.
